Christian Death – OTOP Letterpress Poster
Serious Christian Death collectors, take notice! A while back we received an email from Bryan Hutcheson, owner of Manifesto Letterpress, asking if he could do a limited edition poster inspired by Rozz Williams’s original artwork used on Frontier’s 30th Anniversary Edition of Only Theatre of Pain, the original album being one of Bryan’s all-time favorites. After checking out some of Manifesto’s previous work, we gave Bryan the green light. When the finished posters showed up, we were blown away.
Printed on Manifesto’s own hand-made 100% cotton rag paper, each poster is steeped in a tea bath to give it an aged look, and cranked through a platen and cylinder letterpress. No two are alike. Held up to the light, these posters give the impression of just the right amount of foxing and staining often found on old book pages and documents. The edges are slightly irregular. They measure 15″ X 22″.
We’re taking no chances with messing these up in shipping. They’re too thick to roll into a poster tube and there’s no way we’re going to fold them, so each one will come in its own heavy cardboard box with plenty of padding and protection on the inside.
Strictly limited to an edition of 100 posters, we have 50 of those for sale, first come, first served. When they’re gone, they’re gone forever. Limit two per customer.
